Workshop: Experiencing selfmanagement and selfmanaging teams

Dr. Jean-Paul Munsch (CH), philosopher, therapist and management consultant

Selfmanagement can be seen as a development of three different stages. From a task driven logic to a situation logic which takes the context into account and to a selfevolving logic which brings purpose and the professional self into focus the three stages build upon each other. Each stage requires very different operating modes. This is challenging and the personal and organizational boundaries become clear by working on the three levels. What conditions must be given at the personal level, on the team level and at the level of the organization so that selfmanagement can be successful?

A theoretical input about selfmanagement and selfmanaging teams and the three-stage model will be followed by experiental group work in small groups, in which the three levels can be experienced by the participants on each stage.
